  • Do not open the activated carbon bag; insert it as is into the filter canister.
  • Always unplug the filter and disconnect electrical power before performing maintenance or handling the media.
  • Avoid operating the filter if the cord or plug is damaged or if the unit malfunctions.
  • Do not expose the filter or media to hot water; use only cold or room-temperature water.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children and supervise when used near them.
  • Do not touch moving parts or hot surfaces such as bulbs or heaters while in operation.

Direction

  • Open the filter canister by pressing and sliding the safety latches on the sides.
  • Remove the filter head and take out the existing filter sponge, carbon bag, and ceramic media.
  • Rinse the filter sponge, carbon bag (without opening the carbon bag), and ceramic media under running water to remove dust and debris.
  • Place the filter sponge into one chamber with the hole facing up.
  • Insert the carbon bag into the bottom of the empty chamber in the canister.
  • Add the ceramic media on top of the carbon bag.
  • Ensure the intake strainer is properly attached to the impeller cover.
  • Check that the air vent tube in the filter head is pointing upwards.
  • Reattach the filter head to the canister, making sure the fill cap is above the chamber with the ceramic media.
