safety and precautions
safety and precautions
- Do not allow the reagent to come into contact with your skin. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
- Do not use soap to clean the test tube, as soap residue can harm aquarium inhabitants if reintroduced.
- Shake the reagent bottle vigorously before use, but gently invert the test tube during the test to mix contents.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
- Dispose of used test solutions according to local regulation.
Direction
Direction
- Add aquarium water to the test tube up to the marked line.
- Hold the KH solution bottle upright and add drops one by one, counting each drop. Gently swirl the test tube after each drop.
- Continue adding drops until the water in the test tube changes from blue to yellow.
- The number of drops required to reach the yellow endpoint equals your KH level (e.g., 4 drops = 4 dKH).
- Rinse the test tube thoroughly with water after each use to prevent staining and reagent residue.
